Deliver meals—and a moment of connection—to neighbors who need it most. Our volunteers often help in one of two ways: driving meals to homes or preparing meals in our kitchens. Additionally, group and leadership-level opportunities exist.
Volunteer Basics

Shared Volunteer Expectations
To keep clients safe and deliveries running smoothly, we ask all volunteers to:

-
ï‚· Be reliable. If you can’t make a scheduled shift, notify us as early as possible so we can cover it.
-
Follow training and safety guidelines. We’ll show you exactly what to do.
-
Communicate concerns. If a client doesn’t answer or something seems unsafe, you’ll tell us.
Organizational Leadership Opportunities
Not everyone volunteers the same way—and that’s a good thing. West Shore Meals on Wheels also welcomes individuals who want to contribute their professional skills, experience, or leadership to support our mission through board service or committee involvement. Board and committee volunteers help guide the organization through:
-
ï‚· Strategic planning and governance
-
ï‚· Community outreach and advocacy
-
ï‚· Financial oversight and sustainability
-
ï‚· Program growth and long-term impact
Group & Community Partnerships
We welcome one-time and ongoing group partnerships that help us deliver meals—and
connection—to our neighbors.
-
Ways groups can get involved
-
Assist with meal prep or packing in our kitchens
-
ï‚· Sponsor and support a delivery day
-
ï‚· Organize a community fundraiser or donation drive
-
ï‚· Make an end-of-year business contribution
-
ï‚· Plan a service project that supports our mission
We’ve partnered with local businesses, youth organizations, athletic teams, and service
groups—including Girl Scout troops, sports teams, and corporate teams looking to give back together.
Whether you’re planning a single service day or exploring an ongoing partnership, we’d love to collaborate.
